US media Boardroom updated its updates, showing off the top five richest team bosses in the North American Professional Sports League.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer tops the list, with his net worth as high as $152.5 billion, NFL Denver Broncos owner Walton (and his family) ranked second ($119 billion), Mavericks boss Miriam Adelson (and his family) ($35.5 billion) ranked third, fourth is Cavaliers boss Daniel Gilbert ($26.7 billion), MLB New York Metropolitan owner Steve Cohen and NFL Carolina Panthers &MLS Charlotte FC David Tepper tied for fifth ($21.3 billion).
Boardroom commented on Ballmer: In 1980, Steve Ballmer dropped out of Stanford University and joined Microsoft as the No. 30 employee. He was promoted all the way and became Microsoft's CEO 20 years later.
In 2014, he acquired the Clippers for a record $2 billion.
Now, the team's value has soared to $5.4 billion, nearly tripled (compared to when it was just acquired).
