Before the game against Udinese, Juventus executive Chiellini accepted an interview with DAZN. He explained the club's decision to fire Tudor and the possible appointment of Spalletti as the new coach.
Chiellini said: "I think we should thank Tudor because he led us to the Champions League last season. This is a decision made jointly within the club and we think the team can perform well."
"I think Spalletti is a good player. A very good coach with a lot of experience and a modern style of football. We have to wait because there is no official signing yet, so let's focus on today's game and try to get points."
"I also want to thank Brambilla, who allowed us to focus. It was a difficult decision to make as Juventus are not used to changing coaches so early and it will be a transition year as we build a Juventus that can win titles again. There are still 30 games to play in Serie A and everything is possible, so I think we can start a new era."
"In the next few weeks, we will have a new sports director because we currently lack this role."
