In the second round of the Group F of the Club World Cup group stage, Dortmund defeated Mamelodi 4-3. In an interview after the game, Dortmund coach Kovac said that winning is the most important thing in the game under such difficult conditions.

Kovac said: "This is extremely difficult for both teams - I just stood on the sidelines, did nothing, and was already sweating like I had just come out of the sauna - but others were used to it."

"We obviously didn't play at our best, but it was difficult to do it in this case. If we could keep a 4-1 score for a longer period of time, it would be much easier. But the most important thing is that we won, nothing else matters."
