Bayern legend Mueller recently accepted an interview with German media t-online, in which he talked about his current life in Vancouver, his possibility of returning to Bayern in the future, and his new books.

Muller recently published a new picture book, which records some of the most important events in his career. The 2014 World Cup champion was naturally recorded as the peak and crowning moment of his career. "The most important champion is of course the World Cup, because you can win every four years, and the event has received the most attention worldwide."

Muller: "In 2013, with the triple-champion Bayern Munich and the double-champion in 2014 and the World Cup in Brazil, we have had a very successful period, and we played very well."

From World Cup champion coach Löw to two triple-champion coaches Heinx and Frick to Guardiola, Muller has worked with the best coaches in the industry in his career. He said: "I have learned important things from every coach in my career. I am very grateful for it."

Still, he once again mentioned his biggest supporter and discoverer: "Van Gaal had the courage to bring me into the team so early, even though we had many other stars on the offensive end at that time, which was of course very special."

Van Gaal came to Munich in 2009 and he fully trusted the 20-year-old at the time. The young forward and set a standard for Bayern Munich that has always been effective since then: "Muller always has to play."

Muller worked with Robben and Ribery at Bayern for many years, and the two wide stars also influenced him. They won the Champions League together with Mueller in 2013, so Mueller specially arranged a full page for "Robary" in his new book, which depicts their first appearance together in the 3-0 victory over Wolfsburg on August 29, 2009.

Muller said: "Robery and Ribery are completely different players on and off the court, but they are both world-class. What connects us all is the absolute desire for victory. Therefore, I am very happy that they both played in my team for so long and we won so many championships together. As opponents, 'Robery' is not very defensive."

Muller left this summer after playing for Bayern for 25 years, accompanied by some remarks that Heness had publicly hinted that he should leave, but that's not why Heness was not in Mueller's new book. Christopher Sherney, the illustrator of the book, revealed in a previous interview that although he had received a carefully designed idea, he did not like some things: "I also said: I actually don't want to draw Heness, nor do I want to draw Schuberk (former chef of Bayern), unless I'm wearing prison uniforms."

With joining the Vancouver White Waves, Mueller opened a new chapter in his career at the American League. There, he got a dream start and recently made a hat trick. His picture book may soon need a new version and add a spread of the chapter on Canada.

Muller has a clear idea of what should be shown in the book: "Of course, what I want to show the fans the most is a packed Vancouver White Wave home court, where my teammates and I held the MLS trophy high. We are currently playing well and are at the forefront of the standings. The playoffs start at the end of October, and it will be the real key. Let's see if they can succeed in the end."

So, after the end of his career, does Mueller's plan also include a ticket to fly back to Munich and return to Bayern? After all, Bayern has always hoped that Mueller can return as a management team after retirement, which is no longer a secret.

When asked about the topic, Mueller said: "Bayern will always be my home, but first of all, I am now enjoying life in Canada and working hard to play successful football here."
