"World Sports News" reported that Barcelona star Pique made his debut as a visiting professor at Harvard University this week. In an MBA course on sports business, he discussed the phenomenon of the King's League in the form of case analysis.

Pique was invited by Anita Elbes, director of the course "Entertainment, Media and Sports Business", and worked with Spanish researcher David Moreno to present a case study to the students about the launch of the King's League and how it revolutionized the football audience.

It is worth mentioning that Pique participated in a four-day short-term training led by Professor Anita Elbes at Harvard University in 2017, and other well-known figures such as actor Katie Holmes and athlete Gasol also took the course.

According to multiple media reports, the course focused on analyzing how the Kings League has become one of the most watched sports entertainment products through native storytelling on social media, disruptive format design, and close connections with the community.

This tournament founded by Pique will start on January 1, 2023. It has now expanded to the men's and women's football leagues in Spain and Mexico, as well as the men's football leagues in Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, the Middle East and North Africa. The US division will also be launched soon.

According to data from the sports business financial portal Palco23, this seven-a-side football event played on artificial turf achieved a total business volume of 20 million euros in its first full fiscal year.

Pique said: "It is an honor for us to have the King's League receive analytical research from an authoritative institution like Harvard Business School. This research confirms the impact of our work."

In the photo of all students with Pique at the end of the course, many students were wearing FC Barcelona jerseys.
