In the warm-up match held early this morning, Inter Milan drew 2-2 with Monza and won 7-5 through a penalty shootout. After the game, Inter Milan coach Ziwo accepted an interview with Inter TV.

What do you think of your performance in this game?

We did some game time allocation, and those players who played less time in the last warm-up against Monaco got more time today. We tried to treat every player as fairly as possible, and in Monaco we also had two training sessions. The weather has been very hot in recent days, which has not helped us. The game ended in a draw in a regular 90 minutes, but overall, Inter players were very serious and tried to do their best, but unfortunately it ended in a draw. However, there are still some positive signs in these warm-up matches, and most importantly, the team is eager to achieve good results and value the game.

A few warm-up matches this summer, are you trying to convey some specific ideas to the team in these weeks?

What I am trying to convey is a sense of responsibility, and I hope they must do their best every day, and they must gradually improve in all aspects. Because the new season is about to begin, we must be prepared and Inter Milan must always maintain the competitiveness we deserve. I saw the players’ commitment, hard work, motivation, and even though we’ve just started the summer training camp for two weeks, it’s not easy to get to the best. But from a personality perspective, they are all trying to do better. And in my opinion, they can always do better.

At present, this stage gives all players of the team playing time and confidence. How important do you think this is?

We are trying to improve our status. In the short four-week summer training period, we arranged four warm-up matches, namely, against Inter Milan U23, Monaco, today's match against Monza, and a few days later against Olympiacos in Barrie - which was also our last warm-up match this summer. It's not easy and is a completely new situation for everyone. But we try to turn this situation into our strengths and do our best to complete the training tasks. Through these warm-up matches, I believe we can prepare for the first round of Serie A in the new season.
