Today, Nike officially released Suns star Booker’s second-generation signature shoe, Nike Book 2.
The design of sneakers is inspired by skateboard culture, retro cars and Nike’s classic sports and leisure series. In terms of sneaker technology, the forefoot is equipped with an Air Zoom air cushion, paired with a Cushlon 3.0 midsole and soft foam insole, and is also equipped with an integrated molded upper.
During the design process of Book 2, Booker made a clear request to the team: without sacrificing comfort and performance, keep the feet as close to the court as possible, presenting a modern expression of classic basketball shoes. Booker said, "For me, the key is to really feel the court and keep your center of gravity closer to the ground. A lot of inspiration comes from classic shoes, and the first one that comes to mind is the Air Zoom Spiridon. In the initial design stage, I wanted to pay tribute to the Phoenix Suns, so I created the Phoenix and Rising colorways in orange and black to give fans an exclusive choice worth wearing in every game."
Book 2 shoes will be on sale from January 2026.
